Nutritional principles
Diet No. 1
- The basis of the diet is soup. You can cook them with grated vegetables: carrots, potatoes. For satiety, you can add overcooked grains, such as oatmeal or rice. You can prepare soup by adding milk, cream, eggs. We recommend the milk soup with vermicelli and fresh sweet berries. Vegetable puree soup with chicken is not prohibited.
- You can eat flour products, but only stale ones. Even better if it’s crackers or croutons. Ideally, purchased bread should sit for a few days before eating. Buns, sweet and savory pies are also available, but in limited quantities.
- Any kind of meat is allowed in the diet. It is recommended to give priority to low-fat varieties. You can use them to prepare schnitzel, goulash and other meat dishes, but be sure to heat them without adding oil: stew, bake, boil, steam. You can add liver and tongue to the menu. Before cooking, you need to process the meat thoroughly, removing veins and skin.
- fish. River and marine varieties are allowed, but not canned food. Low-fat varieties should be eaten baked or boiled.
- Can I drink milk if I have gastric ulcer? Sometimes it's even necessary. A glass of warm milk before bed won't hurt. During the day, you can also eat other dairy products: fresh kefir, cottage cheese, mozzarella. All of these should be low in fat. Even better if the dairy products are homemade rather than store-bought. Sour cream should be limited, but not eliminated entirely.
- Eggs do not need to be excluded from the diet. But you need to cook them or make an omelette.
- Fruit cannot be ruled out as causing gastric ulcers, but its acidity should be taken into consideration. You can eat bananas and grapes.
- Almost all grains can be eaten if reduced to their cooked grain state. They can be prepared with water or milk. They can be eaten as a stand-alone dish or as a side dish.
- Vegetables – Potatoes, beets, carrots, cauliflower. Best steamed, boiled and ground into creamy soups. Limit tomatoes and zucchini. Eat ready-made vegetables after boiling or stewing them. You can add them to soups, but in limited quantities, especially dill and parsley.
- Sweets are not prohibited either. You can pamper yourself with honey, grated or melted chocolate, jam, sweetened fruit drinks, or prepare dishes with fruits or berries.
- As for drinks, the menu can include freshly squeezed juices (but not store-bought juices), juice drinks, homemade preserves, tea, purified water with lemon juice and rosehip infusion.

recipe
- Vegetable-garnished chicken chops. To prepare schnitzel, you will need chicken fillets or chicken breasts. Start by washing the chicken and removing the skin. Next, the meat is passed through a meat grinder. Season the resulting mince with salt, you can add chopped onions, but in smaller quantities, and a little bread batter. Form into patties. Place the dish into the steam bath. After 10-15 minutes, you need to turn the steak over so that the meat cooks evenly. Depending on the boiling point of the water, the cutlets will be ready in 20-30 minutes. At this point, prepare the side dishes. You need to wash carrots and beets. Peel the vegetables, cut into thin rings, place on a baking sheet, season with salt, pour in cream and bake in the oven. If a person does not like this cooking option, then you can make beet puree with cream. The vegetables go well with the chicken.
- Creamy Pumpkin Soup. To prepare this dish, you will need peeled pumpkin, carrots and low-fat cream. Cut the squash into cubes (the smaller the size, the faster it will cook) and place in boiling water. Next, chop the carrots and add them to the squash. When the vegetables are tender, remove them from the stove and drain off any excess water, but do not drain completely; there should be liquid at the bottom of the pot. Blend the vegetables in a blender until smooth, adding a pinch of salt and herbs to taste. We remember that if you have a stomach ulcer, you should not eat onions, spinach, etc. , so you can limit yourself to a small sprig of dill or parsley. Pour the cream over the puree and beat everything again with a mixer. The soup should not become liquid; its consistency will be similar to fruit puree. Cream should be at room temperature when added to vegetables. Next, place the mixture on the stove over low heat, stirring constantly. Puree soup does not need to be boiled and can be removed from the heat once hot. You can serve it with croutons for a richer flavor.
- Cheese and banana dessert. Combine cottage cheese, 1 egg and a pinch of sugar in a mixer. Cut bananas into special shapes for baking cakes; you can do this in different ways: cubes or rounds - it all depends on personal preference. Pour the resulting curd mixture over the fruit. Bake in the oven over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. This dish can be served as a snack or after a main meal.
